Further to the location factor calculator report, this report presents location factors for a region relative to a selected basis node in the form of a map.

A location factor is simply the ratio energy prices at two different locations. They provide useful information when seeking to manage locational price risk and can be used to adjust prices from one node to what it might be at another node or in another region.

Try clicking "All dashboard instances" at the top right of the report to see what instances have been added to user dashboards. It's a great way to quickly see what a report can do and the type of insights that can be derived.

Looks good, can it be scaled by RPS?

Hi Malcolm,

I'll add that to the future ideas list. Currently, it only operates on prices so quite simple at the back end. The other idea is to calculate a peak location factor - aligning the definition of peak with the exchange-traded products.

Cheers,

Matthew
