Currently, generation companies receive constrained-on payments in addition to the spot price while they ramp-down generation output to meet new dispatch instructions. The presence of a high-priced offer in a trading period directly following a low-priced offer increases the likelihood of, and the amount received, via constrained-on payments. The constrained-on amounts shown in the headings are estimates. The Authority is currently consulting on removing these ramp-down constrained-on payments.
